Practice

Eleven practitioners. No account layer.

Marketing Events Limited is a small, deliberately un-scaled growth practice based in Salford. Every person on an engagement built part of the system they are reporting on.

No one relays a message they didn't write

The most common complaint we hear from prospective clients about their current vendor is not about results. It is about the distance between the person doing the work and the person they speak to.

We do not employ account managers. Every practitioner at this practice specialises in one or two of the six capabilities — demand generation, lifecycle and retention, search visibility, paid acquisition, measurement and attribution, or creative systems — and owns their engagements directly, from the instrumentation phase through to handover. When you ask a question about your account, you are asking the person who set it up, not someone reading a summary of it prepared by someone else.

This keeps the practice small on purpose. Eleven practitioners is roughly the ceiling for a structure where everyone still knows every active engagement well enough to cover for a colleague without a handover meeting. Growing past that would mean introducing a coordination layer between practitioners and clients — which is precisely the structure we built this practice to avoid.

And who we are not the right fit for

  1. A good fit

    A number someone can defend

Organisations where a finance director, board or investor needs to be able to trust the marketing numbers, not just see them improve.

  2. A good fit

    Patience for three weeks

Clients willing to hold budget changes during instrumentation, even under pressure to show immediate movement.

  3. Not a good fit

    A vanity metric mandate

If the brief is to make a specific platform-reported number go up regardless of what the ledger says, we are the wrong practice for the job.
